Star Mazda has announced that David Stover has won the 2004 Star Mazda Redline Oil Shootout. David was nominated by the Southwest Formula Mazda Series. Even after a late start in 2004, Stover finished 2^nd in the SWFM Series with 8 wins and one 2^nd place finish. The Shootout was held a couple of weeks ago at Buttonwillow Raceway in California. The competition was amongst 5 drivers selected by each of the regional 2004 Star Mazda Series. The 5 drivers each drove a Pro Formula Mazda for the challenge. Stover will collect his prize by racing in a Pro Formula Mazda at the next Pro Star Mazda North American Championship race to be held at Road Atlanta April 16, 2005. He will drive the ex-Nick Steele factory team car, to be crewed by MJ Motorsports. A big congratulations to David!!!!
